Oldtimers & Classics
Finally got it
My first sight of the Concorde, coming in over the road and will soon land on runway 27R. What a fantastic aircraft!
High angle on the final
The need for an angled nose cone can be seen as Concorde is about to touch down on runway 27R.
In the maintenance area
G-BOAE sits at the maintenance area and was about an hour later towed over to the terminal.
Awaiting its turn
Even the Concorde had to wait. Blocking the runway was an Avrojet on the approach.
Sunny side up
One of 3 Mustangs getting ready to depart a sunny Duxford
Curtiss over the countryside
Nice old warbird has a couple of seconds of flying left until touching down at Duxford.
Mustang passing by
Over the crowd at Duxford
Nice classic
A big smile was all over my face when I noticed that Atlantic had brought this old Electra to Landvetter that day.
Flightspotters dream
An old airliner with some strange looking markings on. This arrival surely stood out that day!
Shining on the apron
This plane later took me for a flight over Hamburg.
I got to see a Connie...
Once this plane was the star of the North Atlantic operations, seen preparing for engine start.
Long nose
The long nose gear is for sure one of the ways to recognize the Connie.
From Thailand
A rare -300 version of the 747 arrives in the super early morning with a load of Thailand travelers.
Short Boeing
Nice -500 series leaves Nagoya, with a dolphin on the engine!
Meeting of the two giants
The two largest Japanese carriers meets at Nagoya, no question who has the nicest color scheme!
Classic just arrived
Nice short -500 series has just vacated the active runway.
Cleared to cross
JAL freigher has left the cargo ramp and is on its way to cross runway 24, on which it will depart 15 minutes later.
Nice -400
The NGs are slowly taking over, but still a couple of -400 and -500 series was to be seen in Japan!
Special visitor
A charter service operated by this nice 737 is about to touch down at runway 19.
Scrambling
I do prefer the single seater, but it is still a nice sight when a Vampire is on the roll.
The old ones
Nowadays neither the MD-80 or the 736 remains in the SK fleet, in this scene they are still making revenue!
Aircraft or Space shuttle?
Nial Viking looks sturdy as a tank as she awaits the next flight.
Low cost battle
Painted in the Snowflake colors. An attempt by SAS to battle the LCCs. If I remember correctly SAS also assigned the 738 to the Snowflake fleet.
Touchdown
-WND is on the ground again after another flight
Knowing how to turn
-WND comes in over the Duxford crowd in a perfect bank! The sound of hundreds of shutters closing at the same time is something I will never forget from this day.
Oil leaking warbird
This nice twin was parked up for quite some time at Säve before being flown to its new base.
Green Mustang
Nice warbird just after finishing the flying display.
Worth it
I always avoid shooting through glass, but sometimes it is worth to make exceptions!
Classic on the La Guardia final
Glad I managed to freeze this 737-200 while it was being number one to land at one of the LGA runways.
Sun in the right time
It was one of those days when the light rapidly shifted between sunshine and cloudy. Luckily some light was given to me when this -300 entered the ramp.
